Welcome to African Institute of Intellectual Property, Innovation and Technology Transfer

About AIIPITT

In Africa, Intellectual Property as a standalone concept sometimes seems to be not effective catalyst of innovation and creativity. It is the same cause that African Institute of Intellectual Property, Innovation and Technology Transfer was created in order to reimagine and match the African innovation ecosystem. In fact, AIIPITT was created just to bring solutions that reflect on the challenges that African nations are facing including intellectual property education and awareness among creators, research protection and commercialization of public funded technology projects especially in Universities and research organization.

Our Mission

Enabling Africa’s Innovation Sector through Empowering Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Knowledge Commercialization.

Our Vision

Becoming an African pivot of creators, enablers, protectors.

African nations, like those worldwide, can reap great reward from the development of sound intellectual property systems. An important way to achieve that goal is to invest in young people by educating them about intellectual property and equipping them with the intellectual property skills needed to allow everyone to benefit from their innovative works. AIIPITT brings the initiative, drive, and tools that Africa is seeking, and I hope that this initiative will affect positively the innovation sector in Africa. It deserves wide support.
